Have you looked on the Photo/html board on eBay? Moody Mommy has one that I think her sister did for her, so she may come along in a min with some help.

I found this code

<form method="get"
action="http://stores.ebay.com/YOUR STORE NAME HERE/search/search.dll">
<input type="hidden" name="sojs" value="1">
<input type="hidden" name="from" value="R40">
<input type="text" maxlength="300" name="satitle" size="20">
<input type="submit" value="Search">
</form>

The problem now is that it works great BUT if I do specific search like "1942" it just goes to my store front page It does not show search results for just "1942"

What Am I missing?

<!-- Start search box --></b><table width="295" bgcolor="#ffffcc" border="5" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" nowrap="nowrap"> <form name="search" method="get" action="http://search.stores.ebay.com/search/search.dll"><font style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;" size="4">&nbsp;Search <b>$$$$$$$$$$$$$$</b></font> <br><input name="MfcISAPICommand" value="GetResult" type="hidden">
<input name="sid" value="@@@@@@@@" type="hidden">
<input name="store" value="&&&&&&&&&&&" type="hidden">
<input name="colorid" value="6" type="hidden">
<input name="fp" value="0" type="hidden"><input name="query" maxlength="35" size="20" type="text">&nbsp;&nbsp;<input value="Search" type="submit"><br><input name="srchdesc" value="y" checked="checked" type="checkbox"><font size="2">
Search titles <b>and</b> descriptions</font></form></td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
<!-- End search box -->

Where the $ sign appears, insert the typed name of your store (doesn't have to have the _ or - as space holders

Where the &&&& sign appears, insert the ebay html name of your store

Where the @@@@ sign appears, insert your seller id number.

You can change the background color by inserting another hexcode # here: bgcolor="#ffffcc"

If you use Vendio, I test by pending a listing...you put in the code and then preview the listing to see how it works.

I added it to my custom listing text so I don't have to worry about it once it was set up.

It looks great but I be a bit sloooooow

Where the &&&& sign appears, insert the ebay html name of your store

Are you referring to the http://ebay.store/my store name?

Where the @@@@ sign appears, insert your seller id number.

Is this my seller id: ggardenour or is there an actual number. If there is an actual # I will feel mighty stupid that after 9 year I didn't even know I had a number

Thanks so much for the help the box looks great but now if I do a search on "1942" I get ALL of ebays listings

where the $$$$ appears: The Ad Store

where the &&& appears: The-Ad-Store

Where the @@ appears: 7089362 (You do have a seller id #. I found it when I used the URL of the search box ebay provides.) - no spaces between the number and the Z.

Here is a yellow box - you can edit the text size, color and wording and font in the Vendio text editor. You can change the color or let me know what color you want and I can try to find it.

Just copy this in a pending listing and show preview and you should get to YOUR STORE and search JUST your store:

<!-- Start search box --></b><table bgcolor="#ffffcc" border="5" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" width="295"><tbody><tr><td nowrap="nowrap" valign="top"> <form name="search" method="get" action="http://search.stores.ebay.com/search/search.dll"><font style="font-family: comic sans ms,sans-serif;" size="4">&nbsp;<span style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">Search </span><b style="font-family: arial,sans-serif;">THE AD STORE EBAY STORE</b></font> <br><input name="MfcISAPICommand" value="GetResult" type="hidden">
<input name="sid" value="7089362" type="hidden">
<input name="store" value="The-Ad-Store" type="hidden">
<input name="colorid" value="6" type="hidden">
<input name="fp" value="0" type="hidden"><input name="query" maxlength="35" size="20" type="text">&nbsp;&nbsp;<input value="Search" type="submit"><br><input name="srchdesc" value="y" checked="checked" type="checkbox"><font size="2">
Search titles <b>and</b> descriptions</font></form></td>
</tr>
</tbody></table>
<!-- End search box -->

I tested it with "1942" and I got about 56 listings (I forget the exact number)

No charge - glad you can use it!

I think the seller id number used to be more visible (ie on My Ebay URL etc.) Now the only place I could find it was in the url when I used the ebay provided store search box.
