I love this picture with the white background. Anyone know how the seller does this?
I have some baby clothes to sell & want to do the same.

My guess is she took the picture from gymboree. It is a very small picture. If not she positioned the arms and took the picture on a white background or changed the background in photoshop.

Yes, if you look at her other items, the GYMBOREE items have white backgrounds and small pictures - the other items have a tan background and larger pictures. I'll bet she right clicked on Gymboree catalog.

I think the picture with the shoes says it all. No doubt she used the Gymboree catalog, it's no wonder they look so good.

I'm going to have to go with a white BG.

Thanks for the help.

mcjane...

I usually use a large WHITE FOAM BOARD(few bucks at Staples)...split it to make a base and backdrop/background. Not white enough....buy a sheet of white poster board and attach it to it. Just an idea.

pepsi,
thanks, the foam board will work & I won't have to split it. I can just lay it flat on the floor & take the pictures that way.

I was thinking of a white sheet, but the foam board wil be much better.

Having a 'doh' moment! I have been using a sheet for white background, foam board would be so much better, thank you so much for the discussion!

you are quite welcome...

another item I use is a mirror...saves on the additional photo expense especially if using Turbo or general eBay listing system. I use this on postcards and loose diecast.

sometimes I do get the question ->

Is this auction for TWO PIECES??

Roger - How do you use the mirror with postcards?

on my one ID I use Turbolister and I didn't want to pay for extra photos

the focus is on the front, but gives a "general" appearance of the back. The mirror is also only a few bucks at Michaels Arts & Crafts (4x6 or 3x5)

oh...neglus...who's Roger?

I'm ... Bob

Hi BOB - I don't know why I thought you were Roger Sorry 'bout that.

Have you tried IRFAN? You can scan (or photograph) both sides and then join them into one by making a "panoramic image" (under the image tab). But if the mirror works, why not?

thanks for the info...it has gotten to the point where you get tired of the cropping and editing and scanning. Let alone, MY FAVORITES are just about FULL with identification sites, distributor sites, all the ebay and amazon pages, etc. It is hard to remember the "Good 'ol days" when an eBay listing was a sentence or two and NO PHOTOS. I think we made more money back then also.

Yes, pictures on auctions was a rariety way back when.
I didn't even have a dig camera let alone know how to put pictures on auctions.
Didn't need them, I was selling Beanie Babies, buyers knew what they looked like, doing very well too & then the bottom dropped out.

I like that idea with the mirror, clever.
