I checked my log today and was surprised to see that ebay caught FIVE bidders with two strikes or more! The reason I checked in the beginning was because I had recieved a message from the latest bidder asking me to please exempt her...saying she only received one strike from when she first started. When I checked her bidding and feedback history, she had won at least 40 auctions in the last 30 days...and she has only been a member since last December! Of course, I politely told her that I am sticking to my policy and that she can't bid.
I do not sell very many items in one week, so the five refused bidders seem like a lot.
Maybe as more deadbeat bidders are prevented from bidding, they will change the way they treat sellers...

That is *very* interesting! And where did you find this log? I've never seen it. ~Adele

You didn't ask for my opinion, so I offer it in full recognition it is unsolicited.

In my experience it is far FAR better to leave these kinds of emails unanswered. Never tell anyone they can't bid, if you can avoid it. Leave some room for them to believe that it's an eBay screw-up and let them duke it out with eBay Support.

You don't have to explain to anyone why you have bidder blocks.

If you're spending $7500 a month on maid service, why only $1700 on jewelry?

Fluffy. I don't mind hearing your opinions. The thing is..when she tried to bid, a message popped up and TOLD her the reason. It was out of my hands.
The reason I responded to her email is that sometimes a non-response makes people even more angry. I was very nice to her..even knowing she could always bid under another ID. It's a chance I have to take.

5 does seem like a very high number. I would contact ebay if it were me.

I answer them and tell them they can't bid because they're losers that don't pay for their items and all sellers know what losers they are they should just leave Ebay forever.

Or if I'm feeling mean, I really tell them what I think of them.
