I need to have some intercept a package for me.. and may be you could help me out....
I sent a priority mail package to a buyer in Canada and needless to say.. he paid with a stolen credit card on paypal...
So I am out $100.00 payment and a Jacket plus what I spent on postage to ship the darn thing...
I am steaming mad....
He has not received the package... as it just left NY NY today... so not sure how long it will sit in customs and then try to get delivered

I have a phone number for the Police in montreal, QC I was able to get that.. but not much else as it is in French... { which I don't speak}.. LOL

sad part is that if you were to have customs send this BACK to you...there might be a HEFTY FEE there also.

Usually happens if the item is NOT ALLOWED into the country OR the buyer refuses to pay the customs fees for pickup. If you request CUSTOMS to send it back to you, they charge you the custom fees plus the return postage.
MEDIA MAIL does the same thing...if you mail to one of the many BOGUS addresses that we get ... and they can't deliver it. USPS will charge you the SHIPPING BACK to you. Usually the PO will "write it off" but that sometimes depends on the amount of business you give them also.

How long after he paid with PayPal did you find out that the credit card was stolen? Stuff like that scares the heebie jeebies out of me.

Why should the seller pay customs duty fee when it is being returned?

Yeah it doesn't seem like customs should charge as it didn't get delivered in their country.
Do you have any recourse with paypal?
