This post is similar to the other one about metal testing, but I would like to know if the liquid acid test is as reliable or more reliable than the electronic testers. I need to test both gold and silver and sometimes have several pieces of metal at one time.

Would you metal experts out there give me some guidance on what I should purchase??

Thanks in advance!!!

I meant several hundred pieces at a time.

Try Ebay seller central or local pawn shop /jeweler.

I'd get the electronic testers. In fact, a gold tester is on my shopping list. Why damage every piece when you test it?

I've passed on buying a number of gorgeous antique pieces because the idiot seller filed/burned a hole in them using acid. Yeesh.
