I wonder how you all are doing on eBay. My sales have dropped drastically, so when my last few items are done I am going to take a few weeks off...spend some time revising to keep up with the latest dictates from eBay, and hope that the whole economy doesn't end up in the flusher.
Hope for a better day!

much slower then last year.....I am trying to list more and give the variety and at the same time cutting the dead weight. Closed one ID (800 items) moved them to two other "free" sites with a few clicks. At least the items are still out there, but I am not suppling eBay(or paypal) with any fees from them

My toy category is picking up on Amazon. Amazon is a great spot to sell DISCONTIUED toys...may have to hold them for awhile, but then you get 4x-6x original regular price. Not too bad when you got them at 50-75% off reg price.

It's been pretty slow for me as well. Looks like everyone will get home gifts for Christmas this year.

Actually, my sales haven't been all that bad. Had a couple of items that didn't sell that I thought would but most did OK. I'm focusing sales on items that should do well...had some scrap dental gold that brought a good price and some unique vintage stuff too. Perhaps I should knock on wood? Hope future weeks are better for you all.

I had a 70% STR last week. I started everything at bargain basement prices though. I just with I had had more listed.

It's hard for me to say, mainly b/c I've only relisted items from a few weeks ago. I plan to post new items on the 19th. Hopefully things will go back to "normal" unless "normal" becomes a depression.

What I have seen are more people sending me low ball offers for auctions and people complaining about stuff more frequently.

I'm getting alot of bottom feeders and whiners and it's frustrating. My DSR's have dropped significantly due to shipping charges - and I don't even have a handling fee. They want free shipping and then some.

I actually am in a lowered search status because of the shipping charges, it stinks - so it's hard to tell what my sales would be were it still in the raised status.

I'm starting to list less expensive items and they are doing ok. The stock market drops are just killing the antiques business in general though - so I can't tell if it's Ebay, the economy or both. I suspect both.

This may be just the time to load your items into a Vendio store. Cost is minimal, and if you have to have your items "parked" some where, that might help.

At least your items will show in a Google product search, and on Google if unique. On specific Google searches, my items listed in the Vendio store appear. Plus, I have purchased advertising on both Yahoo and Google. Which at this time places my ads in an ebay search.

If you buy advertising from Yahoo, or Google, you should be aware that ebay, and the other big guns are paying top price per click and the competition has gotten fierce.

Hey, if lightening strikes, and wonders never cease, Vendio stores might someday be updated.

In the meantime, I am filling my Vendio store, and sending just a few selected items to my ebay store. I anticipate that I will revise the ebay store to a basic from featured, by Thanksgiving.

It is a simple chore to list an item at the Vendio store versus the convoluted, pain in the butt, process for ebay; plus those never ending revisions.

Now if only lightening would strike ... or perhaps a wonder would occur.

Sales are very bad for us as well and we are actively working to migrate items to our new web site. I like Bill's suggestion regarding Vendio stores and nothing would please me better than to make our business work within this platform. I believe the Vendio may an opportunity here to preserve and further please their user base through improvements and enhancements to Vendio stores. I'd give up or postpone our web site migration plans if I thought Vendio was taking steps to give us more tools, templates and customization options for Vendio stores. -Kurt

We have not sold on eBay for over a year. We planned to start again but wonder if it is worthwhile. Our online antique mall sales are really down from last year as well. Amazingly enough the "real world" antique market sales have really picked up. Go figure!

That said, in one of the few categories where I still buy the prices are going through the roof. Even items that look a bit suspicious to me with little or no description are selling for double or triple what they did last year. It is an area where there is not much new material coming on the market and there have been several high profile books and museum shows but still....

things are really bad out there, this is the second weekend visit to Lowe's and the store is almost empty,I cant even find a clerk to ask question.
At the checkout, there is only one line open with cashier, the other 2 lines are self serve.
