might be a dumb question, but I've been trying for a hour to find where I can choose a FREE counter to put into my ebay listings. Do I have to subscribe to the sales manager tool to get a FREE counter? I list directly on ebay and I don't like their counters.

Thank you...I did all that, and after I click on the "get started" button, I am brought to a page that says "My service plans" and below that there's a list of other Vendio services....nothing anywhere about the counters. Do I have to subscribe to another service in order to use the "free" counters?

Sorry, reading the fine print, I see that counters are free with the image hosting service, the minimum charge for that is $2.95/month

Since you list directly on ebay, use the ebay counters. It doesn't really matter if you like them or not.

That's a super-friendly reply--considering the fact that I use Vendio for my image hosting, shouldn't I be able to use the Vendio counters since they claim that they are FREE if you pay for the image hosting? If they aren't free, then Vendio needs to change their site and not make claims that aren't true.

Thanks for your suggestion to just use ebay's counters whether I like them or not. Very helpful.

Could this be it? I found it in a Google search. I can't post the link because it pops up as an immediate download.

"1. Activate Your Counters

Once you have registered for Vendio Counters, you will need to activate your counters. This sets a token with eBay so that we are able to display your counter information to you.

2. Sign into eBay

Signing into eBay activates a token so that we can display your counters to you. Vendio does not store your eBay Password or information, but uses the eBay Token system that allows them to pass information to us so that we may in turn display this information to you. Sign into eBay and select agree to set your token. Once you have completed this step, you will be at your View Counters Page.

3. View Your Counter Hits

Once you have completed activation, your counters are located under the Auction Tools tab.

Tip: When you are signing into your Vendio Counters account your View Counters Page is located under the Auction Tools Navigation.

4. Your View Counters Page

Your Counters Page will contain all your counter data and filters to view your data. This section will provide an overview of the different features of your Counters page."

Hello

If you go to your image hosting page - at the top you will see "attach". Mark a check in the box and click "attach". That will take you to a page where you can attach the image through Vendio listing or the code to attach as HTML.

I use another service and did not want the click to enlarge or the Gallery so I emailed Vendio and here is the response

""Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience but the only way to add the counter is in image hosting & adding a picture with a counter, but there is no way to add counter by itself manually.

I hope this has addressed your concern. Please let us know if you have any other questions.""

There is no way just to get the counter without the added image and extras that they want to put on your listing.

I hope this helps

Hello bertdog,

While you can use your Vendio account "bertdog" to attach counters to your listings with Image Hosting, if you want the free Counters service (where you do not need to attach an image to use it), then you will need to open a second, different style Vendio account. To do this, first log out of your account "bertdog". Then go here:

http://www.vendio.com/services/counters.html

Click on the "Get Started" button and follow the steps to open a second account that is subscribed to free Counters.

Regards,
Nathan

Nathan,

Thank you - it appears I did not get the correct answer when I emailed Customer Service with this question

Did you figure it out?

It won't let me choose a counter without using the image hosting service.

I tried posting on the other board but no one from Vendio has replied to my message. I am trying to set it up for my other ID as well but that one won't even accept a token.
