I have revised all my auctions to ONLY show PayPal when listing and I have gone back and revised most of what's in my shop (I think). However, when I've tried to revise any of my listings, when I launch the revision, I am getting the following error message -- even though I only have PayPal as a payment method:
THIS IS THE ERROR MESSAGE THAT COMES UP in GRAY WITH RED LETTERS --
"It appears that you are offering money order as a payment method which is no longer permitted in the eBay marketplace. As of January 15th, we will be removing any items that offer this payment method within the listing. Sellers must offer to accept one or more of the following payment methods --
* Paypal
* Credit or debit card processed through an Internet merchant account
* Propay
* Sellers may in addition offer to accept Payment Upon Pickup.
Please revise your listing by removing the banned payment method. Based on the safety concerns and input from the Community, eBay has established an Accepted Payments policy that clarifies eBay's position on payment methods.
blah ... blah ... blah"
THIS ERROR MESSAGE HAS BEEN PRESENTED TO ME THREE TIMES when revising listings BUT I DO NOT HAVE MONEY ORDER CHECKED AS A METHOD OF PAYMENT I ACCEPT. I am thinking this might be a Vendio glitch? Can you look into this please? I'd hate to see ALL MY LISTINGS cancelled on Jan 15 because of some glitch that eBay can see in my listings but I cannot see. Please let me know if you uncover anything. I'm thinking this is pretty important!!! Thanks.

Have you checked in your Vendio account to see if you have it checked there, as well as on the listing page? That can catch us unawares. Good luck!
P.S. Also, one of our wonderful Vendio moderators may ring in on this and give you the answer you need.

Do you perhaps have the words "money order", or "mail payment" in your payment instructions or somewhere in the body of your description or TOS?

I got rid of all references to the word "Money order" and I did change all my default settings in Vendio. All that was done which is why I can't figure out why I'm still getting this error message.
Gotta get to the bottom of this somehow. Interestingly I was very annoyed at this policy until a fraudster hacked into a pricey win for a customer of mine last night. A $500+ transaction buyer of mine got an email from someone who said she was the seller and that her PayPal account had been compromised and she needed a Western Union transfer to complete the transaction. The good news was the buyer was smart enough to put on the brakes, email her with a NO answer and copy me on her email. The bad news is that the buyer is now so gun shy I'm afraid she'll blow up the whole transaction. She's not a newbie though so I'm hopeful ... but I did, for the first time, appreciate the PayPal-only policy. I'm trying to get someone at eBay to contact her to assure her that it's ok to proceed with the trancastion -- haha, what are the odds that will happen?!

Hi lennonhall,
I reviewed your account, and all I saw were active listings, and pending listings without any errors. Were you able to fix the issue between now and your last post?
If you have a specific inventory item(s) that the issue continues to happen with, please let me know.
Thanks,
George

Thanks George for replying. The issue I had was whenever I revised a listing, I got the error message after the revision was made -- in each case, eBay took the revision though. It happened to me at least three times. I'll try to do a test revision later and see if it happens again. If it does I can give you the item number. I really do not think I've got the words "money order" or "Check" in my copy. I've been pretty careful about changing everything. Just don't want to go through a mass cancellation/relisting game with eBay.
