Just a quick note to let anyone or everyone interested who is doing postage via Click n Ship or Shipping assistant (and probably through PayPal), USPS is aware that there is an issue as they are all inter-related and will be "fixed by the end of the business day". This information was from the Internet Customer Care Center at 1-800-344-7779.
I don't obtain my shipping through PayPal but through Shipping Assistant. I was getting receive error messages and on the site it wouldn't acknowledge the 9 digit zip code that I've used for 17 years.

I was getting ready to use click n ship, so I'm glad you posted this. Gives me a good excuse to wait until tomorrow. Thanks!

Just a quick update -- based on our own monitoring of this situation, the number of errors decreased in the last period. Still, apparently there are still a few errors like internal error happening here and there.
In short, it doesn't look like they fixed it completely yet, but most attempts to use their API by our own checkout tools is working ok.

I use the Shipping Assistant program directly and was able to finally print my labels by 12:00 central. The USPS phone line was still acknowledging problems. Seems to be running smoothly. Hope this post doesn't jinx anyone.
