My book on Roseville says Snowberry, 1946. I was looking for the initials of the artist but your piece doesn't seem to have any.

Here is their description

"Brown branch with small white berries and green leaves embossed over spider-web design in various background colors . . . blue, green, and rose."

Thanks niel, that will help with the description. It's not my piece, wish It was.

Not sure, but in the beginning of the book it shows the initials of the various ones and their names.

Also it says "Roseville in relief". You might want to add that.

Good luck

Thanks again, will also use "in relief" in the description.

Artists only signed the early indvidually decorated pieces, not the later mass produced ones.

Jane, I don't know much about Pottery but I am interested in the piece that you have. Replacements Ltd. doesn't have it in stock but it's listed there as 12" Handled Oval Bowl, 1BL2-12.

Good luck, it's a beautiful bowl!

Nice console bowl.

For pieces of Roseville with the relief mark you can almost always bet that the numbers after the dash refer to the approximate height or length of the piece. The numbers before the dash are the pattern number.

example: 1BL2-12 - snowberry - 12 inches
969-8 Bleeding Heart- 8 inches

I measured this as about 15", but that was handle to handle, inside it measures 12"

Thanks for all the help listing, sure needed it.
