I got an ASQ from a buyer asking (really bluntly) for dimension and condition. Both were in the listing and something told me to check FB he had left for other. Horrible 7 out of the last 10 were negatives. I decided to block him - should I even brother to reply??

Why bother? He is blocked, and has no idea that you have even read his ASQ. If there appeared to be an attitude, be thankful that he asked a question, rather than buying or bidding on the item. He might have done you a favor, by exposing his attitude before a deal was consummated.

As Kozersky says, count yourself lucky to have discovered early.

I once banned a bidder from Israel after her question made me check the feedback she left. She also left many negatives so I blocked her. She became infuriated and told me that I was un-American, that I was discriminating against her, and that she would take it up with eBay. I simply replied that she either was very difficult to please or else incredibly unlucky. If the latter, I wasn't ordinarily superstitious, but I didn't want to tempt fate.

AFAIK, she never did contact eBay.
