No, not dreaming the free auctions are available once again, but only if you do not have a store.

It isn't such a hot deal store people. I've listed some of my stuff all good of course. No one is bidding if it sells at all its during the last few hours and usually there is one or two bids. I think my widgets are going to other sellers maybe for there stores!

I have to agree with alldings. I started a second ID to take advantage of the free listings and the % of sell through is pretty dismal (maybe 20%). The listings are free, so it is only my time I am wasting and I am not giving the items away, just listing them for decent / wholesale prices. I will never do the free if listing for 99 cents again. That was a real budget crusher.

I know some sellers make the 99 cent sales work for them but I've never been able to sell anything that way. If it ends at 99 cent then the seller has lost money.
For free listings I only list higher price items. Sell through rate is very low but it does bring in traffic.

ebabes, where does the traffic go? If you can't have a store to take advantage of the free listings what do you mean by "it does bring in traffic."??

Thanks!!

You don't have to have a store to list in BIN. It cost more for each listing but if you have less than a certain number of listings, it's still cheaper than having a store.
Every time I run auctions - even if few sell - I seem to sell more from my BIN listings.

Just wanted to give a report on how my items sold when listed in my nonstore ID. 50 free listings with free BINs from 2/15-2/28.I sold 5 out of 50 items listed!!! 5!! Not one BIN. These were all high quality items identical to many of the items listed in my store but priced lower since they were in the auction format. This ID does not have TRS, since it is fairly new (80 FB). I don't think I would worry that you are missing something if you can not participate in the free listings.

With free listings,Ebay is flooded with items and that hurts store sales .
I guess it is like a piece of pie, more people share the pie, each gets a smaller piece!
20% sell through rate is considered good under such circumstance !
WE NEED MORE BUYERS,NOT MORE LISTINGS !

I was reading an earlier thread of yours where you said you were expecting 20% sell through rate!

For some odd reason,Ebay thinks free listing will bring out more buyers?
Wrong,it brings out more sellers, not more buyers

hwahwa, last free days about %, I may have overestimated that time, but this time I had the exact #s to report.

You are right. Free listings means more sellers, not more buyers.
