I have 2 questions I can't find the answer to.
1/ Is Islam a religion?
2/ If you can catch the West Nile Virus by being infected by a mosquito that's previously bitten a bird, then why can't you catch AIDS from a mosquito that's bitten someone with AIDS?

According to my little WebstersII:
Islam: A Moslem religion based on the teaching of Mohammed.
The second question, I think you can get any blood born disease from a mosquito, but I don't think there are any documented cases of virgin, non-drug users, who didn't go to a bad dentist who got it this way. I could very well be wrong.

The word Islam means "submission to the Will of Allah". It also means peace, deriving from the word "salaam". Islam is a universal religion. It does not belong to any race or place. Allah is our creator, and the creator of everything. He is the Master of the Universe, He is One and Unique. "He does not
Beget, nor is He Begotten. There is nothing like unto Him" (Qur'an 112). We must all obey his commands, in both words and actions, by following his last and final revelation to mankind, the Holy Qur'an. The world is a trial. Success in this life and the hereafter is in obeying Allah.
And mosquitos won't bite people who wear Nike shoes.
2. Because it is a fragile virus that cannot live long outside the body, and in any case mosquitoes do not inject blood when they bite, but rather saliva.
