As usual, I can't sleep. Thought I'd share a conversation/question a friend and I shared a week ago....
If you could bring someone back to life (It can't be a relative - must be a well known person) and spend 24 hours alone with them, who would you pick and why?

Meriwether Lewis...
I would like to be able to understand though HIS eyes what this country was like "coast to coast" 200 years ago.
So many people think of the NASA stuff rom th 60's as so elite..imagine going into unknown territory, with no knowledge of languages, people, even WHERE you are for 4 YEARS..no contact with the "outside", can't radio "home" for help...and only ONE death in the party caused by illness, NOT ant "outside" danger...WOW...Talk to me!!

I assume full responsibility for my actions, except
the ones that are someone else's fault.

Jesus.
Second choice, Enoch.
Not sure either one counts as "dead" though.

~Forgot the why part.
Jesus, I would like an honest critique for the purpose of self improvement. Have questions about stuff not covered.
Enoch. I want to know everything because he is the coolest human that I have ever heard of in my life.

The first person who comes to mind is Shirley Jackson (author of the short story The Lottery and numerous other books). She would be fascinating to speak to.
Plus she had 3-4 kids and some of her books about them are very funny so she definitely had a sense of humor too.
I thought God too, but figure that what I might say to him would probably just get me into trouble later on, so that might best be avoided. (LOL).
