will refuse to work again in a high rise office building in Manhattan when things open back up ?

I know there will be some, but I wonder if we will be surprised by the numbers either high or low.

That was a thought that occurred to me also, and if they will work in a high rise will there be those who would have a fear of working above a certain floor level? There has to be a phobia attached to this, knowing there is no way for rescue workers to get to you in the event of a major catastrophe.

I would probably look for work in a smaller town, if I had been lucky enough to make it out of a high rise.

I hope the twin towers will be rebuild on the same site. They were the symbol of New York to me.

I have avoided high rise hotels ever since I saw 'Towering Inferno' in the 70's. Fortunately, down here we can spread out instead of up!

It must be rebuilt but in a different form. Instead of two towers there should be one taller than the ones now gone and built with associated shorter buildings in the form of a closed fist with a giant raised middle finger.

The harder you fall, the higher you bounce.

An old American proverb.(to illustrate resiliance)

Hi, Sadie, Shall we discuss Bush today? LoL

A guy on TV the other night, I think he was a building security professional.

He was asked how the new WTC building should be built.

He said it should be built in the shape of a fist with the middle finger sticking straight up !!

I have been made fun of because in a hotel I will immediatly go out after being shown my room and write on a pad how far and which way to a stairway counting the doors and check to see that the door is unblocked to the stairwell.

"I hope the twin towers will be rebuild on the same site. They were the symbol of New York to me."

They were sort of too new to be the symbol of New York to me. For me, it was always the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. The World Trade Center was like an upstart, it wasn't part of the skyline of my youth.

But, it was a reminder of my uncle. He died building the WTC, 30 odd years ago.

I'm not sure that the people of New Jersey would appreciate it.

The statue of Libery might not like it. The direction would be very important.
