Pakistan is sending a high official to tell the Taliban that they must surrender Bin Laden or face military action.
I predict they will shave his head and send him home.
That is the ritual humiliation in their culture and that is what they did to the visiting Pak soccer team when they dared to come on the field in shorts showing their L-E-G-S!
I suppose these goof balls wanted them to play soccer in traditional robes. Do they fight that way?

I was walking down the street one hot day (over 100) a few summers ago and passed a Moslem couple.
She: Bundled up in sweater, long skirt, scarf.
He: Wearing a tee shirt, shorts, and sandals.
Felt like smacking him...

My aggravation aside...it looks like those kids were told what to do, and they did it. Think what else they're being taught...they seem to be quite obedient children.

Cooltom - That is really terrible because he could not do that back hime but has her keeping the customs when he ignores them.
Got me why the women would ever go back home.
Thanks kraftdinner - Let's see what happens. It might be worth what everyone paid - But it would not surprise me at all to see him come back a baldy since they did that to their other guests. Those are their only allies also! - and they treat them that way.

Those are CHILDREN. Children in vietnam only thought of one thing...eating, surviving, staying alive. What about AMERICAN children selling their bodies in los angeles or other big cities in order to eat, because they are runaways for whatever reason? Will you make fun of them too? Starving children in africa with swollen bellies..should we laugh at them? They are CHILDREN. What is wrong with you people?

Im going to read my book. This is making me ill, this war on children who have no knowledge yet of adulthood, or what their government/parent(s) are teaching them that may be seen as wrong (or right) once they DO understand and get knowledge that comes from growing up and experiencing LIFE.

Sorry hep but the thread has swerved way off from what it started and I can crack funnies at almost any situation. I don't take the kids posturing seriously or I would not joke like that. As you say I have actually been propositioned by a boy about the age of those in the picture in Hollywood. The only difference was the kid was sitting in a $80k Mercedes. Not a starving artist. I asked about it and found out the kid was not pimped - he hired the guy driving to hold the title to the car and chauffeur him because he was too young at 12 to do so but was free agent.
Only in California.....

kraftdinner - It has been spoken about in other threads. Just in general the 'innocents' (women and children being killed) if we attack.
IMO, she needs {{{{hepburn}}}}. She's pretty shook up by what our nation is going through.

I will TRY to explain where I was coming from, before the donuts. What I saw was krs posting a pic of children waving two fingers. He posted the word PEACE. Then others came in and said "peace, or victory?" and "two dollah" along with "two towers". I didnt see a pic of anything other than just some kids, looking at a camera, not understanding or knowing the cause of why they were told to get in the cameras face. I just saw kids. I also imagined those faces being white, black, brown and MY sons face is in there, and people from another culture/race/country presuming to know what HE was doing, and saying what those other posters said at HIS face in the camera. I will not war on children. I took it that that is what was being said...that nobody saw CHILDREN. They saw "the enemy". It made me sad, as well as pissed.
Like I have been saying for a few days now..I go up...come down...go up...come down. Now, Im just full of donuts

Honestly don't think there is any chance at all.
They are in their own sick way very strict moralists. Yeah - I know - sick. But once they have decided something is a religeous obligation they will do anything no matter how stupid or expensive to do it.
Under the religeous laws they espouse to protect someone to whom you have offered hospitality comes even before family.
Bin Laden is not only their guest he is a great hero of their conflict with the Russians. They can't yield on this.
They also figure - Hey we have whipped the British and the Russians - we will whip the Americans the same way and still be here when they leave. They have no idea what the Americans are capable of when they are aroused. When we bombed Hiroshima it was a mistake to rebuild it. They should have left it a flattened burt wreck so people could look at it each year as a memorial and perhaps it would help keep it from happening again.
I honestly think they won't win this one with out using those sort of weapons and some others even worse that are not public knowledge. I don't think the US can back down on this one either.

Microbes, no way. Actually, it probably won't make any difference but it would definately be a symbol that Afghanistan is re-thinking the whole thing. Like gravid says though, I highly doubt they'd turn him over. What do you think Microbes?
