Evidently beginning yesterday, the NBC stations started running a one-year-old film documentary on Afghanistan that's well worth taping or watching as it's run.

The primary journey is by a reporter into Northern Alliance territory to interview some guys taken prisoner from bin Laden's terrorist training camps. One of them could've blended in on any college campus in the US.... asked what he thought about bin Laden, he said in perfect American slang, "The guy was here before the Taliban, he was here when the Russians were. What do I think of him? The guy's a terrorist. He has to do his occupation. There are Saudis here in this camp, they don't know where he is, either."

Exactly where that guy Atta came from, I'm certain.

Many. many other fascinating images and stories in that film.

"Abandon All Hope." Anybody else seen it?
