That's what I'm gonna have this winter...toasty tooties. And it's all thanks to the posters here on AW who whacked me on the side of the head & reminded me that (duh!) I could look on eBay for wool blankets.

Well, I did--and won the auctions for three great wool blankets (two within the last hour), the most expensive being $15.71!

Thanks all! My last wool blanket is more holes than blanket now & I really wanted some more without having to pay an arm & a leg. Those plush and cotton thermal blankets just don't keep you as warm as a nice wool blanket can.

Me--just a happy camper when I have toasty tootsies

Tooties are the same thing as your dogs--you know, as in "my dogs are barking"

Bunnicula, tooties are something you don't dare light a match around. Tootsies are those dogs you're trying to keep warm.

Oh OK. Because my honey has a favorite name for my anatomy that he calls tooties. But I never seem to have a problem keeping them warm.

Bunni, you are in southern cal, so Im sure you have heard of Ugg boots? I love mine. They keep your feet WARM. Normally, they run about 139 bucks, but you can find them at thrift shops for alot less. Or, get a knock off of them for about 99 bucks. I have some called THUGGS. They are knee high suede boots, lined with sheepskin, and Uggs are from Australia. They look great over jeans, or leggings. I just sold a pair on ebay for 55 bucks high bid (but I got them at a yard sale for only 2 bucks).

Unfortunately, I can't really wear those kind of boots at work. Wool socks, though, would be great!

Bunni, when do you need the wool blankets and wool socks? When it gets down to a bone chilling 60 degrees?

jeanyu: I really, really, really hate being cold. When it starts getting down to 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit, I start feeling really chilly...

When my girlfriend moved out to S CA a few years back, she said everyone donned the fur coats when it hit 60. We are still in shorts and tank tops back here! And now with October here, it is a real boon to get a day with 70 degrees! We all get silly and sun bathe, catching the last rays of the season.
