Please send your prayers out for the toddler who is seriously ill with anthrax after spending the day at work with his/her mother at the ABC News headquarters in Manhattan.
As reported by NBC news. Updates on MSNBC.com

That is not good. The antibiotic used for Anthrax is not recommended for babies

The NBC announcer said the baby has almost died already, suffering hemmorrhaging (sp?) and that several tissue samples confirm "systemic" anthrax.
God, please watch over your littlest angels.

The officials, both familiar with the investigation, said the child is being treated with antibiotics and is expected to recover.
I'm confused. I hope this is the latest information and the child didn't take a turn for the worse after it was writtem.

I hope the second version is, Barry. I was just reporting what broke in to NBC's special "First Watch" episode, which features interviews with firefighters and emergency personnel who survived the WTC.

"- updated 8:42 PM ET Oct 15"
It's 8:58 ET now, so if the child took a turn for the worse, it would've had to have been within the last 16 minutes.

According to the latest New York Times, the baby has an excellent prognosis.

I'm a bit confused to since what I read at MSNBC says they have known the toddler had anthrax since they found the second case in Fla.
around the end of september, this mean nearly three weeks already on meds..
I would think if anything was going to go bad it would have happened long ago !!!!

From MSNBC:
THE CHILD had recently visited the ABC newsroom in New York, probably on Sept. 28, a government official said Monday.
The anthrax diagnosed in the child is cutaneous anthrax, the type that is absorbed through cuts or scratches in the skin, not the more deadly inhaled variety, the source said. But the child reportedly had been hospitalized and was at one point hemorrhaging and close to death. The official says the boy is being treated with antibiotics and is expected to recover.
