Hello Everyone,

I am posting this as a favor for my two Daughters. They are collecting the General Mills Box tops for education as a fundraiser for playground Equipment that is sponsored by their schools PTA that I am a member.

Anyway, one of the things my Daughter’s elementary school is doing to raise money is to save the "Box Tops for Education" logos from General Mills & Betty Crocker products. The General Mills Box Tops for Education are each worth 10 cents and are found on such General Mills products as: Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Total, Fruit by the Foot, Fruit Roll-ups, Fruit Gushers, Dunkaroos, Yoplait yogurt multipacks, Potato Buds, Suddenly Salad, Bisquick, Yoplait Go-Gurt yogurt, Bac-os, Super moist cake mix, Betty Crocker frosting, Betty Crocker supreme brownies, Betty Crocker supreme dessert bars, Betty Crocker potato side dishes, Lloyd`s barbeque buckets, Hamburger Helper, Chicken Helper, and Tuna Helper and many other General Mills items.

What they are collection them for is improvements in their playground equipment. The equipment they have right now is so old it literally falls apart when it gets used. Much of it has already had to be removed for safety reasons and the funds have not been there to replace it.

Last year we collected over $600 for the school kids and the goal for the present school year is $1500.

To see what the box tops look like, please see the following URL address.

www.boxtops4education.com/works/logo.asp

The logos do have an expiration date on them so please check them to make sure they are still current. So as you clip the logos from the various General Mills & Betty Crocker packages, please check to make sure the expiration date is far enough in advance that when I receive them from you they will still be valid. I am assuming that General Mills sets these expiration dates far enough into the future so that folks can collect them for the entire school year and turn them in at the end of the school year and still get credit for them.

By the way, I personally will be collecting them throughout the year and will add them to the PTA’s collection at every monthly meeting.

As an incentive, Anyone bidding on an auction of mine using the buy it now or take it now option and sends box tops will get free shipping to anywhere in the USA.

If anyone would rather send them without bidding on an auction and is interested in saving these for my kids or wishes to send them directly to the school, please send me an email at [email protected] and I can send you the address on which you can send them.

Have a super day everyone and my kids as well as the kids at the school thank you all.

Posting it as a favor to your Daughters? Isn't this like the third time that you've started this exact same thread? You're gonna spoil those kids, doing them so many favors.

We had our October PTA meeting tonight (16th) and so far we have raised $200.00. That is a good start, but we need more. Thanks to all that have given and please help for those who are just reading this.

Aren't you also sallyhoffman? Two posts by different authors, but both say "have a super day everyone" at the end?

No barparts is not sallyhoffman. He/she is someone who apparently saw my 10/9/2001 post on this site requesting Box Tops for Education (http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=28&thread=123294)
and copied it almost verbatim to create his/her own post requesting the same items. This also happened on a number of other chat forums I frequent....I guess I should be flattered, as copying is the best form of flattery, right?

I do not believe it would be difficult for folks to figure out that I was the one who originally posted "have a super day everyone"! That is one of my usual endings to notes, as anyone who knows me can tell you. I post on many chat forums, all using the same sallyhoffman name and no other ids, and many end with the "have a super day everyone".

I hope barparts succeeds in his/her school fund raising efforts. I only wish they had not used my words almost verbatim to do it. It may work to my advantage, however. Many folks have replied to me via email, mentioned the other post by barparts, and realized I had made the request first and have been collecting box tops for my son's school. So, perhaps the early bird goes get the worm!

I response to the unjust attacks made by sally against me. I have been posting requests for box tops for quite a while now on other forums and just recently came to this forum to post the requests. To continually attack the posts is destructive and not warranted. If she spent as much time concentrating on posting for the kids as she does attacking me, every box top in the country would already be sent in for the kids. All I ask is to stop the harrasment and concentrate on helping the kids. There is no reason that we cannot co-exist. Sally, please leave my posts alone and I will do the same. If attack someones post and then get retaliation against one of yours, you cannot complain justly about it. All I ask is for all of us to go about our business and concentrate on the kids.

Barparts, I have no problem with co-exisitng with you, provided you play by the rules and speak the truth. When you start posting text, claiming it as your own without giving credit where credit is do, I take exception to that and will do whatever it takes to set the record straight.

I have said nothing in any of my posts that can be misconstrued as not following AWs chat posting rules. I am simply pointing out to folks some of the misunderstandings that are being generated because your posts are almost identical to mine (which as I stated before, were posted days before yours).

When people begin thinking we are the same person because you copied my posts almost verbatim and my character and/or reputation are being questioned, I do take it personally and will post truthful, accurate information in these threads to set the record straight...period!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I do admire your willingness to help your daughter`s school raise money (we all know schools can use all the extra funding they can get), I object to your methods in this case. Again I wish you much success in your fund raising efforts. May I respectfully suggest you find your own creative ways for doing so.
