Thanks Saabsister!

Now reporting up to 29 exposed.

One member of the House says spores have been found in the air ducts. House to recess today until next Tuesday in order to provide an environmental sweep of the building.

No word yet as to the Senate's plans.

There have been a lot of hoaxes, false alarms, and things blown out of proportion. But THIS is downright scary:

A government source told CNN the anthrax was "high grade, very virulent and sophisticated."

Anthrax spores have been found in the ventilation system of the Senate building, Hastert said Wednesday.

Richard Butler, the U.N.'s former chief weapons inspector in Iraq, said in an interview with CNN's Paula Zahn that the size of the particles in the Daschle sample was "very small," making it easier to infect humans with the inhalation variety of the bacteria.

Senate reports that they will remain in session today and tomorrow as planned. They say they will not let one envelope in one office prevent them from attending to the duties of the country. They also report that no antrax has been found in the vent systems. They say that was an over reaction by the House.

Breaking news on my ISP says anthrax has also been discovered in the governor's office in New York City. No further details.

They have probably been dozens if not hundreds of buildings infected that we don't know about yet.

These guys were looking at crop dusters so they likely had hundreds of pounds of anthrax already here in the country.

Now we have to test all fed and state buildings, major office complexes, and on and on.

Our nice guy approach towards Arabs "visiting" our country is going to cost us plenty.

Time to round them up and deport them. This is long over due.

Visiting? Try CITIZENS. Those jerkoffs have been here for years, planning all this crap. They have used our schools, paid their damn taxes, borrowed eggs from their neighbors, smiled at passersby, worked in jobs, tipped their hats to acquaintences and smiled in faces all the while hoarding their nasty little germs and planning to destroy those they showed those false faces to. The didnt visit. They LIVE here. All because the USA welcomed any and all. "Give us your poor, your weak, your hungry"...well, they gave alright and they will continue to give, but not necessarily what we had in mind.

Im pissy today. Can ya tell?

I'm afraid you might be right Reamond....

As to deportation, before anyone jumps the gun, let's look at people within this country,, non-Arab people, who might be on Bin Laden's payroll...Let's look at all the militant groups, who are so totally against American Government, Left or Right...and are also very knowledgeable, and able to raise money to acquire the necessary ingredients and know-how to perfect such a virus.

Edited to add that my point is: let's look at ALL possibilities; sometimes, we indeed cannot see the forest for the trees...

Hepburn- I agree. This has the makings of a huge diaster. How will the buildings be "cleaned" ? Even if it doesn't kill as many as 9-11, the costs for these contaminations could be massive.

Anyone in a govt or large building may already have anthrax in the ventilation system.

When will we take the gloves off ??
