I am not usually one to worry, panic, fear, bla-bla-bla, however, today as I was walking up the driveway with mail in hand I'm thinking "is there anything here with a NJ, Fl, NV, etc. postmark?" I'm usually the type who doesn't see danger unless it's right on top of me (no pun intended ). Do I need to refill my Prozac or are you guys thinking the same thing I am? Barbara

Well, I'll admit that I won't be walking into any large government buildings any time soon, but I'm not worried about my mail. Something tells me that whoever is doing this has a lot of higher priority targets to get to before me....

godzillatemplate: I agree about bigger targets, but the postal employees are testing positive and all mail gets thrown into bins together. Who knows how much or when the powder could leak out onto other letters. It looks like it only takes a little to cause the skin type infection.

This morning I was involved in a discussion about the air of paranoia and fear that seems to be spreading through the country.
Someone made this point - people are at risk from so many things:
lung cancer - are they quitting smoking?
heart attack - are they exercising and eating a healthy diet?
car accident - have they stopped driving?
...and so on.
Way down on the list would be
exposure to anthrax
And yet that seems to be first and foremost on everyone's mind.
