OK, Halloween's coming up, so I thought it would be a good time to ask you.....

What's the weirdest, spookiest thing that's happened to you or someone you know?

Twice in my life I've had unexplained "visions."

I was driving home one night on back roads and it was raining. I noticed three people walking on the side of the road dressed very formally. As I passed them, I realized that it was odd they would be out on a night like that. I looked in my rear view mirror and they were gone.

Another time, I was on a bus and saw a man dressed in long robes leading a mule down Market St. in SF. No one else seemed to see him and after I looked away and then back again, he wasn't there for me either.

I've left out any "visions" I had while under the influence of mind altering drugs.

Oh ghost stories ..please I love them.
There used to be a really good thread on another board that went on and on full of ghost stories.

I've had a few wierd things happen.
When I worked in a Catholic Old age home there was this merchant marine that passed away from a brain tumor (after I tried to convince the nuns that something was odd about his behavior but they wouldn't listen..[but thats another story ] ).
For a hobby he carved these crude little puppets out of wood and painted them. When he died the sister in charge gave me a little puppet that he had been making me for a surprise Christmas present.
It was a cute little pirate (a personal joke between us) that was half painted.
I took it home that night and put it on the coffee table.
My dog (malamute /wolf mix) came running in the house and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the puppet.
His hair raised on end and he started growling and snarling but he wouldn't go near it.
We thought it was strange but he was half wolf and that did make him odder than the average dog.
Then the first cat came in the room, an old tom that was afraid of nothing (not even wolves) he leapt up on the table and fell just as he tried to scramble away from this puppet. OK that was wierd.
After two more cats and the other dog had the same reaction we decided that we really didn't want to sleep in the same house with this thing.(or at least my room mates didn't, I loved it)
Tomorrow I will post the second wierd experience that happened at the old farmhouse.

Geez, I already posted too many spooky things ... and some of you still think I'm nuts

BTW, I asked the preacher from my church about speaking to Lucy, and he was adamant that I NOT try. He said that needs to be left to someone with training.

I think I will heed his advice
