OK, last night, some jerkwad of a local pilot of a twin engine aircraft at the tiny airport of Scapoose outside of town was getting fueled up when a worker supposedly overheard the pilot remark that he was going to fly his airplane into the largest building in downtown Portland. That information was promptly given to authorities who placed a call the local Air National Guard at the Portland Airport (PDX) who then promptly scrambled two F-14 Tomcats into the air searching for intruders and terrorists in the air. The fighter jets circled low over the city waiting for something to shoot at and kept many citizens awake with the loud roar of the jet engines passing overhead. To top it off, this all coincided with Tommy Lee Lewis's newest action film being shot on location in Portland and they were just shooting the explosive scenes, where a building is blown up. The 911 operators were swamped with calls of jet fighters overheard and explosions 'everywhere' on the ground and there was some mass panic that ensued. Finally, the aircraft never became a target, the fighters retuned to base, and Mr. Lewis called it a night. How was your town or city last night?

Most of our criminals were locked up last night... so I can't top your story.

Our jail in Alexandria is filling up with notorious inmates. Convicted spy, Robert Hanssen was bumped from his cell to smaller, more confining quarters on a different floor to make room for suspected terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui.

A virtual who's who of sociopathic killers, drug kingpins and other high risk inmates occupy the detention center.
High profile suspects such as Aldrich Ames , Harold James Nicholson William Aramony, Lyndon Larouche, Rayful Edmond 111 and Gregory D. Murphy have all slept there.

The Pacific NW has it's share of criminals - the Green River Killer, Longo, Lesie Allen Dodd, and many other famous names. I read one fancy study the government hired a think-tank for to demograph people in the USA. The USA was broken up into regions and one category was about sociopathic tendancies rated in that region. The Pacific Northwest had/has the highest rate of socipathic behaviors (could'a told ya that). In other words, if you want to study people with a careless disreguard for the welfare of others and that have a one-track mind: themselves, just move here to the Pacific NW!
