Tonight Bush will condemn corporate irresponsibility in his State of the Union
address, moving to distance himself from Enron Corp. and the political fallout of its collapse.

The carefully measured remarks in drafts of Bush's speech reflect increasing concern at the White House that voters view Bush and
Republicans as more sympathetic to big business than to average Americans.

What's the test?

The test will be in whether he can keep a straight face.

As he hasn't kept a straight face yet, how will we tell? Maybe by the sneer factor rating scale?

A brainwashed president??? That's an interesting concept and it would probably be an easy job in the case of George Bush.

Can you imagine the senior bush saying, "He would not have done it off his own bat without being coaxed, talked into it."
