Right after the State of the Union Speech was given by Pres. Bush this evening, the majority of members were reportedly rushed off to the hospital to repair broken hands, fingers and wrists. These injuries were attributed to the MASSIVE PROTEST given by Congress at stopping Bush's speech every three or four words with applause.

It was so obnoxious and stupid, that even Bush himself could hardly keep a straight face. He even got to the point where he began to play games - like in a cartoon, where he tried to see if he could stop and start the applause in different ways by trying one word, then two words, then three words, etc. to see what would cause Congress to jump up out of their seats and interrupt him with applause.

Not only Bush, but also many of those there could hardly keep a straight face at the sheer stupidity that they all were showing. But not everybody. Some politicians - on both sides of the aisle, were visibly insensed that this time-honored part of the American tradition was being so belittled for mass-media hype. Truly, it was a spectacle that few will soon forget. Or forgive.

Yours is a pretty stupid and obnoxious analysis of the event.

When posters have to resort to personal attacks in order to express their viewpoint it means that they really have nothing of worth to say and waste everyone's time.

Of course it was a bit of tonge-in-cheek. They were not protesting. Yet, look how obnoxious their non-stop interruptions were. Bush would say a single word or two and Congress would erupt in Standing Ovations. It was all so obviously staged and fake that even Bush could hardly keep a straight face at the sheer stupidity of it all. He even went so far as to try out different combinations of things to see how he could play with his audience of forced admirers. What was once an important event in the political cycle of the President has been reduced to such demeaning levels that BOTH parties should be ashamed of themselves!

A big charade. There must have been more minutes of applause than minutes of speech--certainly more than minutes of meaningful speech.

For a comparison of effect, have a look at another one:

Well, your personal attack on the President's speech was made first. I simply feel that some of your remarks applied equally, or more so, to you. You can spout the attacks pretty well, but don't take them very well, do you? As a matter of fact, I didn't even attack you, I attacked "your analysis". You should read your own and others' posts more carefully.
