I've gotten two phone calls from an unlisted number in Florida asking me to signup for NetMerchant. They are aware that I am a AuctionWatch customer. They are offering an auction and website hosting service for $399 signup and $49/month, no commissions.
They gave me the address of one of their hosted sites to examine. I asked for some more, and the telemarketer said, "we can't disclose our customer's personal information". HELLO!!!! Your customers don't want people to see their sites. Are you kidding me? When confronted with the absurdity of what he said, the telemarketer abruptly ended the call.
My opinion is that NetMerchant is either a startup company or a scam. I found AW by examining hundreds of auctions on eBay. I checked the sites of a few services and switched to AW. I don't recommend anyone choose based on a phone solicitation.

I've never purchased anything from telephone solicition and I never will. It only encourages them to call more if you do.
