Just a brief homage to Dudley Moore, whom I first encountered as comedy partner to Peter Cook; the two of them were hilariously funny in such memorable skits as: The Frog and Peach, and their send-up -- in full kilts with bagpipes bleating -- of a Sonny and Cher hit, "I Got You, McBabe".
The original version of Bedazzled -- which they made in 1967 -- was panned by critics but became a cult classic amongst those who "got" the humor. If you've never seen it, rent it.
Neither (imo) was ever as funny alone as they were together, but both enjoyed successes after they dissolved their duo in the 1970's.
Now they're both gone.
