I am probably alone here, but I have to vent about Enya...
I had to call three companies this morning. All three had Enya on a hold button loop. That 9-11 song just kept going and going.. it was enough to drive me insane.
Why is this Enya so popular? I just don't get it. Her music is sooo depressing... Maybe she gets a kickback from Prozac sales?
I know there are millions of other things to gripe about, but somehow Enya's music really gets on my nerves.
I can handle most any music, I have a collection of thousands of Lp's and Cd's...All styles from Sinatra to the Sex Pistols, but Enya is too much for me.
What an interesting occurance...recently, a poster here started a thread about music. Her favorite was Enya. She said that listening to Enya made her love the world and everyone in it!
And believe me, that was saying a LOT! LoL!
As my kids say, different strokes for different folks!

Enya's music helped me to slow down; that is, it slowed my mind down. When I used to stress out, my neurons were flying high and fast -- and I made the buckaroos, I will tell ya. But, it got to a stopping point and it began to hurt. Then, I discovered Enya. S-L-O-W D-O-W-N!
I don't listen to Enya much anymore, but I still like some mood music and soft rock. I enjoy much that is harmoniuos and strives to bring harmony into my daily life, rather than be assulted by acid rock or mugged by rap.

have any of you noticed that places that really do not want to service their customers have on hold music so loud that the deaf could hear it?
