Judicial Watch on Scheme to Exclude Non-Contributors, Democrats And Third Parties From the Political Process

originally posted by Snowegret on June 12, 2002 07:42:11 PM in the thread Cheryl Again. A Chronology

“Republicans involved in the effort said they plan for it to be used by White House officials, lawmakers and staff to determine who can meet with party leaders in discussions of policy matters. The idea is to alert GOP officials and staff members to Republicans who ‘deserve’ such access and to Democrats who don't, said one lobbyist involved.”

WHITE HOUSE FOR SALE! PRESIDENTIAL POWER FOR SALE!

I thought that it was worth postin gas a thread. People ought to see how their White House is being used and how their President is selling access to himself. Remember how the Republicans HOWLED! when Clinton was discovered to be selling stays in the Lincoln bedroom? That's NOTHING compared to this!

From saabsister's link

Norquist is president of Americans for Tax Reform and is a frequent visitor to the White House and GOP congressional offices. He said the report's chief aim is to prod trade associations, lobbying firms and corporations to hire more Republicans to represent them in Washington. Norquist lamented that companies and associations may unknowingly retain too many Democrats "who don't represent their interests" in a city now ruled primarily by Republicans.

Talk about sleazy

"I don't know if it will affect one piece of legislation," Davis said. But contributions to the wrong party can "buy you enemies. People often don't remember who gave them contributions. But they remember who gave to their opponents."

Woah! Now THIS is going to get ugly really quick! Corporations and the Rich traditionally give money to BOTH sides in a race in order to have influence after the outcome is decided. This rrestricts the flow of contributions and I think that this would be in violation of the United States Constitution as well! The question is, will our Corrupt Supreme Court even address the issue?

"They clearly want to get this into the hands of White House officials," said a GOP lobbyist who attended the meeting. Norquist is an ally of Karl Rove, Bush's top political adviser, and several other White House officials.

Aha! So, Norquist is one of the Unelected running the Presidency; or is he just an errandboy, I wonder?

"Borillar obviously has forgotten about the Clinton White House renting out rooms to boost the democratics corruption."

It doesn't hold a candle to the outright corruption of this current administration. Anything Clinton was ever guilty of pales in comparision of the sheer scope of wrongdoing that Bush and the Republicans are guilty of. And it's only his first year!

Thanks AN, but I couldn't care less about my credibility. The truth is the truth and Damn the Torpedoes Full Steam Ahead! Right? I'm not defending Clinton to a Drive-By poster, but making a comparison with the current criminal in the White House.

caffeitalia, you're typical of Bush supporters: you can't argue any points so you resort to name calling and personal attacks. Typical Republican garbage. >>YAWN<<

Borillar,

This one is really an outrage. "Oh, we don't care to whom you contribute, we just want to know". Meanwhile they attempt to set up a republican oriented lobbying base that will persist through those miserable times when either the house or the senate are democratically controlled or when there might be a democrat as president again.. And that base would determine who's voice is heard regardless the character of the congress or administration.

This isn't biasing the jury - of course not, we aren't in court.

Borrilar,
If everything you stated wasn't rubbish, then there would be something to debate. You are into half truths and provide links that often are disproven in short time. That is the Democrate way.

That's correct, KRS, it IS stacking the system. The idea is to stack the system so that all Federal Judges, Supreme Court Judges, support staff, beaucrats, heads of every department, etc. are all run by Republican-types. Sorta like what Patton left behind to run Germany. (for those of y9ou who don't kow, Germany was defeated, but Pattton, who was in charge of Berlin, left all of the Naziis in place still running everything. In other words, the Nazi army of Germany was overrhtrown, but the Nazi German government was left in place! A little recognized fact in history. Think of Bush's recent trip to Berlin to consulte with his Compatiots there.)

Meanwhile, did nayone watch that movie this weekend, "The Sum of All Fears"? Although written as fiction, it seems to parallel reality, as any good Tom Clancey novel does. Go see it to see what I mean.
