Has anyone visted this garden near Santa Barbara and ,if so, is it worth a stop-over by plane from LA to San Luis Obispo?

My husband is flying to SLO soon and we've accumulated enough sky-miles to both fly free. I'm trying to decide whether he should make a short trip of it by himself or whether I should go also and try to work in trips to the Getty Museum and Lotusland. If we make it a longer trip, we're obligated to spend more time with relatives and our vacation time is limited this year.

Lotusland. I wanna live in Lotusland.

I don't know anything about the place, saabsis', and I don't want to.

Lotusland, Atlantis has returned! No religons! A pebble system. Shark-free crystal clear water! 72 degrees year-round (and 86 in the water.) No door-locks necessary. No missile defense system either. No "news" of any kind, ever. All foods "organic". Dogs welcomed. Latin is taught in the schools. Paper plates are non-existent because we can again have lifestyles where part of eating is table aesthetics. (On special occassions we break out our silver, crystal, and china, which everyone owns again.) And sex is recognized for what it is: messy and more trouble than it's worth...

To dream is a good thing.

When the "rapture" comes(the one where Christians are taken suddenly and directly to heaven, or when we are vaporized in The Big One, if you will) will take me to Lotusland. Sweet, sweet Lotusland.
