That's what our noon news said. Yesterdays smoke bombs are now considered terrorist attacks. Not even domestic terrorism...just plain terrorism. To me it is making light of what happened in NYC to call those smoke bombs terrorist attacks...and you should see the look on the reporters faces when they say it! LOL You would think planes flew into those buildings instead of smoke bombs.

Smoke bombs are serious. LOL!!!

Excerpt...

"One type of pyrotechnic device that might be employed by a terrorist in many way would be a smoke bomb. Such a device could conceal the getaway route, or cause a diversion, or simply provide cover. Such a device, were it to produce enough smoke that smelled bad enough, could force the evacuation of a building, for example. Smoke bombs are not difficult to make",,,,,,,,,,,

And of course, there are step by step directions on how to make them.

Well if that is the Animal activists way to get attention, they lost tons of any respect from a lot of people, esp. me, who always thought orginizations like PETA were a PITA anyway

It did scare the people that work in the convention center, didn't they say that it was scary that, even though there were only 'smoke bombs' that someone got past and up there to do it, and do it twice.

My husband works across the street from there, he thought it a mighty stupid thing for these activists to do, whatever they were trying to prove, though no orginization has came out and said who did it.

Now I forget how they found out it was Animal Activists, duh

That's an excellent point, rawbunzel. It's use politically for its manipulative value and journalistically for its sensational entertainment value has already distorted its effectiveness in communication. A linguist, whose name a can't recall now, termed this trend "language inflation."

Rawbunzel, I was afraid when I saw that title.

Kids better not set off M-80s any more, especially in the school toilets. They will be terrorist bombers targetting the infrastructure.

What would a skunk be called? And what about my idea for a trained skunk army to protect my property? I even had my saying:

See Snowy, that's the point. Why would they say a thing like that as the lead in to the news? Scares the crap out of people.Completely unnecessary.

Did you hear that they said that Alan Iverson made "terroristic statements" as he broke into his cousins house to find his wife? Anything we say will be called terroristic pretty soon. Head for the hills and get a skunk!!!

edited 'cause I remembered his name.

The skunk is out back in the woods. It's a stink bomb or mammalian olfactory assault . MAO, for short.

Given the new powers of arrest and seizure if they define all these things as a terrorist act it means you may soon be subject to what is basically summary justice for all sorts of previously protected acts.

It is easy to use this to stop almost all opposing political expression.

First amendment rights are already imprisoned in little fenced enclosures far from the eyes and cameras that make them have any value.

How many people have given contributions of money to animal rights groups? Don't be surprised when your bank accounts and homes are seized for forfiture due to supporting a terroist organization.

LOL! It'll be funnier still if they don't seize contributor's bank accounts and assets. It's their absurd logic to categorize this as a "terrorist attack", so to not look so foolish, they have to follow through.

Still one more way that Americans are getting pizzed at the Prez. Everytime something like this happens and it's officially called a Terrorist Attack, more people flock to the anti-Bush, anti-GOP banners.

Are you nuts or what ?
The animals rights people are a clear and present danger to freedom loving people everywhere.
No where is there a more intolerant bunch of dangerous well funded fanatics.
In Wisconsin they burned a feed mill to the gound in Plymouth.
In Tomahawk they crimminally damaged a mink farm.
In Madison they attacked a vaccine mfr causeing a delay in pet ferret vaccine for months a young girl was bitten and would have had to have had rabies shots. Fortunatly the mfr could prove the animals was rabies free. The response of these clowens was it was the vaccine mfrs fault the little girl was bitten.
As Long as we are at it Bonilar I might point out that Wisconsins top known animals rights terrorist is a Big time republican fund raiser.
I wonder how many of you will still think its cute when you realize that most of these clowns come from the conservative right.
In the case of the queen of the republicans they engaged in harassing a port washington couple over a period of months with hundreds of telephone calls to the police. The cops found 2 hunting dogs registered but not bred living in heated houses with heated waterers. This did not stop the idiots they broke into these peoples properties and stole the animals. When the media jumped on it the dogs turned up both out of state both fixed. The big shot republican was charged and her boyfriend broke up with her and ruined her alibi. The powers structure here
moved the case because she knew the prosecutors the ass wipe that got the case a petty fascist in appelton waited about a year and dropped the case FOR LACK OF EVIDENCE, Herr the Newspaper had enough to convicxt but this pimle wants an appointment
to a higher job so he does not have to open his own private malpractice.

PETA has a budgetr of 15.9 million all of which is controlled by a triumvate of pacheco and his 2 lady ffirends everyone else is a supporter not a member. They had no problem forking over 34,000.00 to the thug who attracked The state of Michigans research center, in the same year they gave less than 2,000.00 to shelters. Parasites.
