Somehow I ended up on this loony conspiracy page a few minutes ago...not going to post a URL...anyway, there was a rant about allegations that Neil Bush supposedly had made plans to have dinner with John Hinckley's brother for the day after the attempt on Ronald Reagan's life, it went on to say how quickly inquiries in the media were stifled, and then discussed the fact that John Hinckley Sr. and George Sr. were both Texas oilmen and possibly associates as far back as the 60's...anybody know more about this or where there might be sites that are less "on the fringe" that discuss it? All I'm finding are undocumented conspiracy type pages run by wackos in foil hats......

Sounds like BS to me.

I'd rather discuss what's really wrong with American Education today. LOL!

So the families know each other.
That is what you call guilt by association.
It is not commonly accepted as an aspect of law except in tribal law in backward nations.

One url - you judge if it is wacko.....

People can find connections where they want to find them. I'm sure I could find a connection between the color of my carpet and the fifth weed below the steps in my yard, too.

Hinckley was a nut. From what I've read, he stalked Carter before Reagan. His parents moved to Colorado in the early 70's and lived a few blocks from us when the assassination attempt occurred. I remember helicopters flying overhead that day.

not me Helen, I have to go back to work in 3 weeks...trying to put the sorry state of American education WAY to the back of my mind right now!!! As of today, the new porch is built, the roof flashing is replaced with copper, the house has been replastered, the chicken coop is clean and re-fenced, and the sheep have been moved to greener pasture....all that is left to do is burn the burn pile when the fire dept. says it's safe enough, catch as many fish as I can and ponder goofball conspiracy theories till the day before school starts...doesn't get any better than this!!!!

We have less chance of changing education policy than the Federal government.

The National government is the plaything of just a few thousand of the worlds most powerful and nasty self centered people.
Change is inevitable as they all jocky for their piece of the action.

But the school boards of the nation must number a group of a couple hundred thousand of the most self centered and unrestrained people - a great many of who delude themselves that their desperate defense against any improvements is a holy mission of righteousness. They are all for protecting the children from any respect as human beings or exposure to the truth. It might make their introduction to the business world latter too difficult.

Speaking of telling the truth to children. I have a poem for that also.

Lies

Lying to the young is wrong.
Proving to them that lies are true is wrong.
Telling them
..................that God's in his heaven
and all's well with the world
..........................................is wrong.
They know what you mean.
.........................................They are people too.
Tell them the difficulties
...................................can't be counted,
and let them see
........................not only
.....................................what will be
but see
...........with clarity
............................these present times.
Say obstacles exist they must encounter,
sorrow comes,
.....................hardship happens.
The hell with it.
.....................Who never knew
the price of happiness
.................................will never be happy.
Forgive no error
........................you recognize,
it will repeat itself,
..........................a hundredfold
and afterward
.....................our pupils
will not forgive in us
..............................what we forgave.
