It's an interesting race for governor in California. Republican contender Bill Simon's company just got slammed with a 78,000,000 fine for fraud. Simon is a rich #*!@ with no political experience who is trying to buy the governorship. He's running on a "smart business" platform, yet he managed to "lose money" during the recent economic boom. Or was it all just a tax scam? Offshore corporations, you name it. This republican pretender is the perfect image of a corporate crook. Even VP Cheney snubbed Simon during Cheney's recent visit.
