This was in the news last week? not sure.

I went to the site, and the first screen I got was, This Site Has Been Taken by The U.S.
or something like that, then it flipped to a messageboard.

I kinda didn't want to stick around...

http://alneda.com/

not sure I should even be putting it up there ... yikes

You gotta think the FBI is investigating every poster on that messageboard. BWAHAHA!

scared me..... I looked last week real quick... and there is a thread with middle eastern people talking hate on the U.S., I didn't stick around long to see exactly what they were talking about.

If that's representative of the site in which the FBI had no interest, I think I understand.

Helen, if (and I say if) the site or messageboard was being used to send covert messages, they wouldn't be as plain as the nose on your face. They would use some kind of code. Not, "Hey, let's blow up the ... nuclear plant at ... on ...." And if the FBI were investigating the board, they probably wouldn't announce it to the posters or the news media.

(edited 'cuz I don't want to disappear in the night. just joking, FBI guys!)

Thanks for that info, twinsoft.

I'd rather not say what I think about the site. LOL!

This is an interesting story about the former website, alneda.com and the FBI.

You know what should be astounding to everybody? The fact that any idiot can call up a newspaper or news organiztion and say "I did this." and they all publish it.

Isn't it interesting that in Helen's link the guy who just happened to "intercept" the phone calls is a Lebanese American?

I got this great idea! I'm gonna make a deal with Starbuck's. Then I'm going to call CNN and say that I "intercepted" a terrorist phone call where they told all operatives to avoid Starbuck's because the employees were given training in terrorist detection.

The story is fishy no matter where you read it...I just thought that this was an interesting version of many incredible interpretations.

Don't think I meant you gave credence to those reports. It just astounds me how we get gallons of this stuff shoved down our throats no matter how preposterous.

These "jounalists" scribble down anything any yahoo brings them.

My favorite is the Internet guy who found the other big terrorist web site and offered to "help" the FBI, but nobody there knew anything about the Internet. Yeah, right. People love to eat this stuff up though.

I didn't read the link, but is that the guy that got the call over his own cell phone, and understood their language... wasn't he in Vegas or Reno or something? That was kinda strange...

Yeah heard that one too, and that was on all the major news stations... that the FBI isn't 'High Tech' enough, and do not have any 'techies' ... I don't believe that for a minute, but here we had CNN reporting it..
