I just want to pull my hair out-UGH!! After last September I started taking Canadian bidders again to help boost my very slow sales. Ok I have had no problems till today. I had a Canadian bidder buy two pairs of childrens jeans from me this morning on a buy it now. The jeans in the box came up to about 2 and 1/2 pounds so I sent her a paypal money request for the jeans and the shipping via air mail letter post rate. Ok all looks good so far than I get an email from her telling me to cram the jeans in an envelope because boxes weigh up too much and that shipping to Canada from USA is always cheaper than shipping from the USA to USA. Everything she typed was in caps and it must have made her feel real important. She told me how to fill out the customs forms- must of thought i was stupid or something and than told me to say it was a gift and to maybe throw in a birthday card or something so it looked real to the customs people if they opened the big brown envelope that these two jeans might be a gift. Mind you I have never met this woman. Now putting the jeans in an envelope saved her a few ounces so I got a new rate and than sent her that total. Now she sent me another email saying she was going away for a while- (maybe to the funny farm) and that I should sent it to her economy surface letter post. After all of this she has saved $2 and said she would not pay me for an envelope or handling-(some people charge handling for Canadians) I hadn't even mentioned a fee for handling because if I didn't have a large brown envelope I could and I qoute now-" tape a brown paper bag around the jeans with scotch tape and send them" I tell you what if she emails back again I am going to tell her I am not going to use the mail service but instead are going to put the jeans on the back of a donkey, slap the donkey in the rear and tell him head north and see if she ever gets her jeans.

-----Just needed to vent- thanks!

hah should be called darn canadian bidders!
you dont wanna throw them all away!
sorry for all the frustration, had it happend few times to me too,

half of the problem is that she is right about the customs people, rest is just her being a b*tch.....

send them with some canadian goose heading back home

I would say to her that you are trying to help as much as you can to meet her request but at some point (like taping brown paper...) she has to understand that you want to protect your / her merchandise
and your TOS was stated in the auction.

see how much it is to send it economy in a normal envelope and quote her that,
if she doesnt like it I would just relist it and file for FVF with areason that bidder wont agree to terms of sale

good luck
