A lot of posters are no longer here. What use to be a fun place to post is now in your face, argumentive, mean, spitfull, and just nasty
mood.Sometimes I feel like I am a sober person around a couple of mean drunks, and hopeing like hell they pass out soon.

Some of these drunks (imaginary bar)truely
enjoy being miserable.Did the round table change personalitys, and now have nothing more then a suspicous, paranoid, ego inflated
air with zero tolerence?

The fluff that was here, balanced out the heavy stuff, and people got along. Not so now, everything has to be heavy with all the put downs and inundos and games.

Maybe I need to pull a good drunk.

Cyn, I see this same complaint at this time every year. yet, the board survives, new posters and old posters tend to flock onto here once the Christmas Season starts going pretty well underway. As far as nastiness goes, seems to happen that way every year about this time as well. So, have a few drinks and post sloshed.

Damn shame. Good luck with it.

For me, I'm busy, I'm tired, I've got issues and challenges, got more to offer than you appreciate, and am gone now.

She got me. I confess all! I can't keep up the act. I'm going to drop this one persona. I am ashamed. I apologize to all. I am sincerely sorry!

Oh, don't be silly, Cyn. No need to drop any persona. This place needs all the posters it can get.

Rawbunzel

It's not funny to me. I strongly suspect a few others but I wouldn't want to state it here.

Oh well, it's only a chat board.

Helen, everyone just seems like themselves to me. I don't even try to figure if someone has more than one persona. It IS serious if you interact with them in email ,belive them to be your friend, and you suspect something is amiss. I do not believe that Junquemama and Cyn are one and the same. That is why this scenario is funny to me.

Cyn, if you're still reading, please for your own sake, until after next Wednesday, don't read the newspapers, keep the T.V. and radio off, and avoid reading messageboards.

Who ARE the same posters? Helen, you seem like the only one with suspicions. Please clue me in because I'd like to know who's who too.

I had an auction closed on eBay. They put the item up there with hate groups, Nazi stuff, blah, blah. It was something that fell from the sky down at the WTC, along the lines of "crash mail." Where do serious collectors go to buy what they want without being harangued by others unable to mind their own business, like one of those military memorabilia sites or something...

I do not want a discussion on the merits and ethics of what I'm selling. I mean y'all can if you want , but I already have my position.

Yeah, listen to Irene, nycyn -- avoid reading message boards as September 11th approaches, especially the ones that show you trying to make a buck out of the horror which occurred that day. I can't believe you have the gall to still be playing victim in that tragedy when you were right there to scoop up "crash mail" as you call it and had no qualms at all about profiting from such base, tactless theft.

plsmith: This is just plain mean. Your petty small-mindedness, which makes you feel clever, is cruelty. You should be ashamed of yourself but I doubt that you are.

For one thing, Einstein, you don't know where I got the item, or if I spent weeks trying to locate anybody via contacting corporations, affiliates, names in phone books, missing lists, confirmed dead lists, etc. as one example of how your accusations are a product of your own imagination.

But hey, you're popular!

And I understand the basic human need for Gods, Heroes, and Monsters. In fact my son is gratifying such fantasies now: He is watching cartoons.

Irene: Not to worry. I started what you advise easily a month ago.

Funny, it was just two days ago when I had this epiphany: That it wasn't Ground Zero that was the crusher. It was (is) the having to come back out.

"You should be ashamed of yourself but I doubt that you are."

nycyn, I'm ashamed of YOU.

"For one thing, Einstein, you don't know where I got the item"

But, nycyn, you already told us that:

It was something that fell from the sky down at the WTC, along the lines of "crash mail."

Surely you're aware that an appropriate repository for ALL unclaimed WTC items was established just weeks after the attacks. Many of your fellow New Yorkers also picked up "crash mail" from the streets -- much of which is now on view at The New York State Museum and countless other museums throughout the region. YOU chose to sell what you found. If it's "mean" of me to point out how reprehensible that is, so be it. The fact remains that your oft-stated inability to cope with 9/11 is tied to your concerted efforts to profit from that wretched day.

Howdy to everyone ^^up^^ there.

>>YOU chose to sell what you found.<<

Listen, Ms. Piggy, I'm not going to allow you to get away with anymore of this character assassination. Sure you'll go on to *prove* that I'm the sleaziest creature on the planet, which is a sick avocation, I shouldn't need to point out.

You're "ashamed" of me? Wake up woman, you have absolutely no idea who I am. You DO realize that don't you?

Hello? Hel-lo-oh! Earth to Cyber-piggies everywhere! Anybody rational out there?

First off I never sold the item. I'm saving it for my son and I hope he sells it and makes a few bucks off of it, along with my small militaria collection, because his mother earned it.

Secondly, it was listed primarily as an attention-getter, to advertise my at-that-time-cause to find some philanthropy group to sponsor an INDEPENDANT private message board for people in trouble who-would-never-dare-let-themselves-be-seen-as-"weak"-for-a-minute, and if I had sold it I would have used the money for newspaper ads. But the world just kept getting uglier and I got tired.

I was also pointing out in eBay, in drama, the hypocricy and absurdity of the guy who was selling trinkets made out of the beams, that he purchased that came from GZ-WTC, "but only after the entire company got together and prayed about it" (when presumably he was struck like Moses) and it was determined it was the right thing to do. People were snapping them up like crazy. I think he is praying on a boat in the Carribean this week.

>>The fact remains that your oft-stated inability to cope with 9/11 is tied to your concerted efforts to profit from that wretched day.<<

"Fact." "Profit."

Why am I sitting here talking to myself?

No further comment.
