Last week when I tried to log in to RT I was met with a screen telling me that I needed to update my CC info with AW.I was not able to bypass it that day..at least not that I could tell.. Today I tried it again got the same screen but could log in anyway. So here I am. But how long can one post without updating the CC info and why do we have to update the CC info when it was supposed to be just a method to verify who we are?

I have not yet decided whether or not to update. Has anyone else been met by this screen or am I the only one?

Hey, Robin!

Good to see you. I knew about your problem but hadn't thought about this until now. About a month ago I kept getting messages at the top of the pages here that I needed to go to my account and update it. I never had a problem logging in though. After a week or so, I did check my information on file and nothing needed updating, as I was sure that it wouldn't. The messages continued for about another week though and then finally disappeared. I don't know if that relates in some way or not. I thought at the time that everyone was probably getting that message, but maybe not. Anyway, since I never had any problems logging in, I didn't give it too much thought. I'm not sure if it's related to your situation or not.

Hi Antiquary!!
I got a screen awhile back too about updating my other info and just ignored it and it went away. This one appears to be different and demands my CC information once again. If I completely disappear one day you'll know why! LOL!

I didn't think that it sounded quite the same since mine mentioned nothing about my credit card. Maybe it's just a message that's programmed into the system or a glitch and will go away.

I'll vouch for you. For whatever good that would do.

Seriously, it could just be a glitch in the system. Maybe you should email Diana if you have a problem again.

It seems like everyones information should be expiring at about the same time since we all had to give our CCs this time last year.Of course the rest of you probably use AW services so don't have the same problem.

Nah...won't email Diana till they dump me off. I want to see if it is a glitch or really is the requirement.

Thanks for volunteering to vouch for me.

Well I'm happy to see you posting and I bet it is just a glitch of some sort.

Hi you two.

I have the little update message. I don't know how long it's been there, but when I did notice it I had to update my email and CC. I did that about three weeks ago and it's still there. I do use the services, and it was time to renew my credit card in real life, so I thought that was why I got the message.

Hi Choco!

If I used the services I could see giving the CC but since I don't use anything billable I hate to give them my CC AGAIN to keep on file. Not sure what to do. I don't need their pay services .

Bunz I agree if you don't use the services, and all your info is there already, why does it need to be updated? Besides, you've been here forever. I started listing again so I really couldn't ignore the message if I wanted to use the services.

Strange thing about what I have up right now. I state no international shipping. I got emails from seven different people all from Japan asking if they could bid. I told them they could because all have good feedback and seem to spend a lot of money. I just thought it was kind of weird.

I get a lot of bidders from Japan even though I too state no international bidders. I always let them bid[heck I always let anyone bid]they are always fast payers and great customers. I just don't advertise that I do take bidders outside the US because I have to go to a different post office to mail international packages than my usual little outlet one.Otherwise I would always take them!

What is it you have up that is so enticing to the Japanese?

Hmmmm! I just got a request to update my email address. I first had to confirm the address, then got a confirmation code at that address to enter in the designated box on the last screen. The notice to update at the top of the page hasn't gone away though.

Maybe these requests are mandates by the Poindexter spy network. Golly, they're fast little buggers.

The Poindexter Spy Network! He's on the sinister side of the right wing, all right. Thank goodness for the left.

I had to update my email a couple months ago, and haven't seen any update screens since.

It's reassuring to see that you haven't had your wings clipped, snowyegret!

Yeah, probably just a little driver's license check on the information super highway.

Flying under the radar is the only way to travel these days.

He reads much
He is a great observer, and he looks
Quite through the deeds of men.He loves no plays
As thou dost, Antony, he hears no music.
Seldom he smiles, and smiles in such a sort
As if he mock'd himself, and scorn'd his spirit
That could be mov'd to smile at any thing.
Such men as he are never at heart's ease
Whiles they behold a greater than themselves,
And therefore are they very dangerous.

I was born free as Caesar; so were you:
We both have fed as well, and we can both
Endure the winter's cold as well as he.

Ye gods, it doth amaze me,
A man of such a feeble temper should
So get the start of the majestic world,
And bear the palm alone.

Why, man, he doth bestride the narrow world
Like a Colossus; and we petty men
Walk under his huge legs, and peep about
To find ourselves dishonourable graves.
Men at some time are masters of their fates:
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings.

Cowards die many times before their deaths
The valiant never taste of death but once.
Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,
It seems to me most strange that men should fear,
Seeing that death, a necessary end
Will come when it will come.

Between the acting of a dreadful thing
And the first motion, all the interim is
Like a phantasma, or a hideous dream:
The genius and the mortal instruments
Are then in council; and the state of man,
Like to a little kingdom, suffers then
The nature of an insurrection.

They are all fire, and every one doth shine;
But there's but one in all doth hold his place.
So in the world: tis furnish'd well with men,
And men are flesh and blood, and apprehensive;
Yet in the number I do know but one
That unassailable holds on his rank,
