This just in (not on the Internet yet): Pres. Bush has said that he will sign an extention of the federal employment act so that 750,000 people will not drop suddenly unto no jobs and no cash. He states that he's doing it at everyone's urging him, "it's good for the economy, stupid!"

LOL! Can you imagine it? Bush has been saying all this time: "Why don't they just go get a job instead of sitting on their lazy butts? Why should we give them a hand-out? Only corporations get that, because it's moral!"

So, at gunpoint, teeth clentched together, sweat driping from his forehead, eyes squinting, Bush will quickly sign sign the extention like as if it were poison to him. To the 750,000 people he made unemployed, it means a few more weeks of saftey before this question comes up once again.

Or, maybe not!

Bush to wrestle over extension

"It's estimated that 90,000 more people will lose their regular jobless benefits nationwide each week in a rocky economy that has boosted California's unemployment rate to 6.4 percent and the country's jobless rate to 6 percent."

"There's a serious economic problem in this country, and Bush and the Congress couldn't be bothered,"

Remember after 9-11? Bush just couldn't wait a second to bailout the airline industry with a 20 Billion dolar present that will never get repaid and another 20 Billion dollar handout to the Insurance comapnies and then ANOTHER 20 Billion dollars to "clean up" the Pentagon wreakage? 60 BILLION DOLLARS he couldn't wait for a second, dancing on one foot like he had to go pee as he shoved the money at his friends! But for the average American Worker? What about such concidration for them? Where is it? That's when you know the President's real feelings towards those who voted for him!

Bush considers slashing tax on stock dividends. Plan to boost market would largely benefit rich.

"Washington -- White House officials are urging the president to propose cutting taxes on shareholders' corporate dividends by about half, according to administration officials and Republicans close to the Bush administration."

"Bush's entire tax package is expected to provide as much as $300 billion in reductions over 10 years."

In the meantime, countless thousands of Americans will no longer have an income in this Bush-made economy. It must be nice to be one of Bush's close buddies -- you get all the benefit of legislation! Too bad he doesn't give a damn about his other supporters.

Yah. That's down from 7.5% a few onths ago! Now that the seasonal hirings will wear off, the rate will go back up.

Like told everyone: getting to live in Oregon is no longer a perk for low wages. It's low wages and it stinks.

I have a buyer from Oregon who I knew for several months now, and she told me the unemployment is at a critical level. I believe she said Washington state is doing poorly as well.

Dont feel guilty things here in Pennsylvania stink too. The classified ads only want truck drivers, and fast food workers. Even the high tech jobs we had are headed for China. It was on the news today this holiday season was the worst in 3 decades!!

Hi Blairwitch. It won't be long and there won't be any advertisements for truck drivers either, as Bush recently opened up the doors to mexican truckers. Soon, ALL trauckers will come from mexico, as every corporation will only use the cheap labor to make deliveries with.

That leaves the fast food jobs.

The Employment situation: November 2002

The number of unemployed persons edged up to 8.5 million in November.
The unemployment rate rose to 6.0 percent, a level most recently reached in
April. From May through October, the jobless rate remained within a range
of 5.6 to 5.9 percent. In November, the unemployment rate for adult men
rose by half a percentage point to 5.7 percent; rates for blacks (11.0
percent) and teenagers (16.8 percent) also were up over the month. The
jobless rates for adult women (5.0 percent), whites (5.2 percent), and
Hispanics (7.8 percent) showed little or no change. (See tables A-1
and A-2.)

That's a significant number of votes....8.5 million!

No doubt in my mind this is a one term president like his dad, but can you imagine the mess the next incoming president has to fix? I would not want this mess no way no how!

Anything the next president will do can only be progress. lol

It's incredible what Bush has destroyed in only two years. In two more years, we may be reduced to rubble or dust.

And even then, the Rrepublicans will be celebrating about how good a job that he did! Oh, how they'll >>GUSH!<< with such *PRIDE* at how corn-holed we all got (except for the rich and the corporations). Gosh! There was a President in office that they could be PROUD OF! Oh, Gee! If -only- we could have ANOTHER President just like him in office, instead of Xyz, who is so . . . immoral!

I always tell them when they say that about their last President is that if that was such a good job, I'd hate to see one of their presidents who did a poor job. Remember: Republicans are people who LOVE a Police State and have to get their barbed-wire enemas regularly from those that they support or they get constipated!

In the meantime, the rest of America will remember him as the pile of sh*t that screwed us all over constantly!
