Federal Facility Accepts Mexican ID at Pelosi's request.

The Phillip Burton Federal Building in San Francisco has become the first federal facility to accept Mexican-issued ID cards, used by both legal and illegal immigrants, as valid identification
The policy was requested by new House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat.

We've all read how easily ID cards can be falsified. Latest were the one's from Saudi Arabia....now this. And if any group is allowed this priviledge, then all illegals will have/will be afforded the same rights.

Your feelings?

Almost as disgusting as Dumbo re-nominating "Plantation" Pickering!

I don't think this is a good thing.

I have seen way too many forged ids that are of the south of the border origin.

I think that this will be a common acceptance throughout the USA, in about five years or less. Banks and other institutes, businesses and facilitites that require ids will eventually accept them.

Simply saying: Baaaaaaad!

tomwiii - I think Pickering and the others should be given a chance. IMO, that's not right.

I'd have absolutely no problem if any of those who were nominiated aren't passed. What I have a problem with is the political maneuvering that won't allow it to go to a vote. It happens on both sides, but has really become nasty in recent times. At least put it up for a vote, don't block them before they've had a chance.

For the Pickering nomination, I don't think that is a wise move by the Republicans. This is not the way to heal the wounds in and for the GOP.

Maybe we should start a thread to discuss Pickering?

clarksville - I'm not clear on what you're saying. I'll start a new thread.
