It is being reported in the Phillipines that a fighting rooster with razor pieces attached to its claws turned on its trainer and slashed him to death. Now if this would only happen to dogfight trainers we might make some progress.

And I recently read there are no scholars in the chicken world... 2 thumbs up for the rooster!

those stories are always gratifying...like when the elephant finally gets tired of performing stupid tricks and stomps his trainer into goo...or when the 300 pound saguaro cactus arm falls off and crushes the moron who was shooting at it....

A Virginia man was trying to beat his dog to death with a gun when it went off, fatally wounding the man. The man had called his wife to tell her that the dog had bitten him and that he was going to kill it. An apparently mistaken lack of bullets caused the 43 year old man to attempt to bludgeon the 30 pound Sharpei to death. It must have been quite a struggle, as the man was found with numerous dogbites and scratches and oh yeah- a bullet hole. Maybe the dog had an opposing thumb(Meet the Parents?)

One theory is that the man was beating the dog with the butt of a rifle=shotgun when it discharged and hit him in the "lower abdomen". There was dog hair on the butt of the gun.

The investigation remains open while police wait for autopsy reports.

I don't have any sympathy for this guy.

The dog was destroyed by animal control officers.

I read this story also. The guy was pretty sick. I remember thinking that I hoped the guy never had any children in his care.

You need a license to have a dog, but not to have children.
