Oh, I don't know, lets say in the last few decades.
What type,... more points for more potential kills.
Not many points for a stick and lots of points for nuclear weapons.

The US is the leading exporter of weapons in the world. While Pentagon studies predicted that the greatest risk of nuclear war lies in an escalation of hostilities in the mid east, the US continued to sell weapons of mass destruction....and now, we are looking for them. lol
The military weapons lobby contributes millions to favored congressional campaigns. Carlyle has direct connections to the White House so they don't have to lobby.

US has the quality and the best financing.
Russia has the best bargins on basics.
France is like Apple. Has a strange following of customers with near religeous loyalty.

For nuclear weapons, Russia has the most at 10,000, U.S has 3000, China has 400, India has 100 - 150, Israel has 100 - 200, Pakistan has 30 - 50, and North Korea might have enough plutonium to make 1 or 2 bombs. (These numbers include strategic warheads and tactical nukes.) Places like Libya, Sudan, Egypt, Syria, Iran and Iraq are known to have chemical and biological weapons.
These figures came from the November issue of National Geographic.

errrr,"...detailing the vast U.S. nuclear arsenal, which includes 5,400 warheads on intercontinental ballistic missiles, 1,750 nuclear bombs and cruise missiles ready to be launched from B-2 and B-52 bombers, 1,670 ``tactical'' nuclear weapons and another 10,000 warheads in bunkers around the United States".

Quoting National Geographic, it says "The United States is not making biological and chemical weapons, but defensive research continues. -Reducing deployed strategic nuclear warheads to about 2000. -Has more than 1000 tactical nukes."
"Russia is cutting deployed strategic warheads to about 2000. -Also has up to 8000 tactical nukes. -Destroying chemical stockpile. -Claims bioweapons stockpile destroyed, but development may continue."
The November 2002 issue is all on weapons of mass destruction. Maybe some of this is available on their site.

Well there are enough bullets in the world to shoot everybody too - but that doesn't mean you can do it. Getting them distributed evenly is quite a task. Same with WOMD.
