Do you use Microsoft's Passport system? I have been asked to use it here and there, but after looking at it, it seemed to me just another way to collect data on WHO you are, WHERE you go online, WHAT you do when you get there, and so forth. In exchange for what I fell is this massive invasion of privacy, you get to logon to various web sites and give personal information automatically.

haven't used it--have the same concerns you do. Censorship, like charity, should begin at home; but unlike charity, it should end there --Clare Booth Luce

I don't use ANY of M$'s "products", but Passport in particular is nothing more than a way for M$ and their partners to mine your data and web usage habits..read the fine print on their page..all for "convenience"...nope, no thanks...

Absolutely not. I checked it out and decided for the same reasons that you stated, not to use it. They want more information than my bank!

I haven't bothered to post my personal info and credit card # on alt.moron yet, so I doubt at this time I'll use MS Passport.
