Didn't I read that someone killed someone else while online? I can't remember where I heard of this or whether it ultimately turned out to be an urban legend.

the only other story I have heard about anything along this line is when Timothy Leary was talking of doing it.

This story is akin to someone standing on a ledge above a crowd and everyone chanting, "Jump! Jump! Jump!" and the fool jumps.

Agreed, Borillar. I was thinking Darwin Awards.
It's sad that kids have to go to such lengths to "impress" people. I'm sure he had no intention of dying and really believed he'd just wake with a hangover.

People may scream "jump jump" and some "fool" may do it, but I think about how hopeless the person must really feel to actually do it. Must be awful to be that lonely, sad, miserable..and then to hear other human beings laugh and jeer and beg them to do it and it is the last reaching out for humanity to "care" and not get it...makes me shudder.
