After the Oklahoma City bombing, FBI investigators gathered evidence linking Timothy McVeigh to white supremacists who had threatened to attack government buildings, investigative memos show.
Several of the documents were not provided to the Oklahoma City bomber's defense before he was convicted. And the FBI agent in charge of the investigation says he never received one teletype from his own headquarters that raised the possibility McVeigh was aided by other accomplices.
"They short-circuited the search for the truth," McVeigh's original attorney, Steven Jones, said. "I don't doubt Tim's role in the conspiracy. But I think he clearly aggrandized his role, enlarged it, to cover for others who were involved."

Yeah, there were a number of threads and lot of lively debate over McVeigh here in the RT back then. It's obvious to most people that the FBI was trying desperately to kill McVeigh before he could talk and to sweep the supporting evidence about a conspiracy under the rug. Why? Only two real possibilities come to my mind:
a) The FBI has spys within the organiztion that might be revealed it this were all brought out.
b) The FBI was complicit in the bombing and they want cover up theri role in it by protecting the other conspirators.
