There is a rumor going around that Saddam Hussein has a financial interest in one of the world's largest publishing companies. Hachette Filipacchi, the French company, owns over 200 magazines, including Road & Track, Car & Driver, Woman's Day, Boating, etc. I believe they still own Grolier's Encyclopedia Americana, the New Book of Knowledge, and Disney's Wonderful World of Knowledge. There was much talk regarding Osama bin Laden's financial interests, but I haven't heard much about Saddam's. Does anyone have any info as to the accuracy of this report or any other info on Saddam's financial interests?
