Yes, clever & amusing.
BUT not that clever.

“Purple/Red "Arab Traditionalist" culture that created Osama Bin Laden and his ilk is backward, unsuccessful, and diseased.”
Unlike Ted Bundy. Or lechter, Manson, and a #*!@ load of TV Evangelists.

Remind me, please. I seem to have forgotten it, somehow. When, exactly, did any of England, Ireland, France, Russia, or the rest of that lot lose nearly 3,000 people in a single day to a single attack? When was there ever a single terrorist attack anywhere which was even a fifth that deadly?

Union Carbide hold the Guinness book of records. 6,500 + physical mutations, still births, sterility, etc, etc, etc.
What did you say, that was unforeseeable?, sure, just like shuttle was.
Cost cutting = collateral damage. These minds don’t love America or anyone.

“We have to be ruthlessly pragmatic because the universe is.”
Your ‘separatist’ friends didn’t cover chaos theory. When explaining the green meme.
So rabid dogs, eat dogs.
You don’t convey the spirit of all Americans, you are not a ‘Patriot’ you are the extreme right.
So don’t pretend you do. You are the deceiver. The red.

I think the part that bothers me...
You all believe some guy that thinks he is a star ship Captain....Is intelligent to quote, and has the last word....over..

Dex who is a Brit is considered a jerk because he doesnt want war?

No factual evidence to go along with the reasoning? And yet accuse others of reading
off the wall web sites, because some dont agree with everything you say?

Does this not strike at least one of you as odd?

Now Im scared.

You should be scared, as long as we let the UN dictate our actions in the protection of the THIS country we will never be truly safe.

Go ahead and protest the upcoming war... that is your right, just remember when one of our fine young soliders hesitates in pulling that trigger because of thinking what some loser that is against the war will think; gets themselves killed because of it... enjoy the fact that YOU have killed a US solider.

There is no "other hand" sooner you peace niks learn that the better off the US will be.

We can not let that POS loose any longer and wait for him to do something more evil than he has already been doing... of course in some peoples Disney like world... there is no evil and Saddam is just misunderstood.

I guess letting him do something more horrible that 9/11 would change your mind?

On the other hand if we "nuked" them, then the soldier wouldn't be that position either.

Enjoyed reading your url, twelvepole. For me the strongest argument was made in this part of the discussion. Least it's the one I most strongly identified with.

statement: Yet as desperate men are pushed towards desperate measures, the stakes will get higher and the fundamentalist response will escalate until some one madman does use a nuclear device. Have the present government in America forgotten the Kamikaze, Okinawa, or Hiroshima? In that order? It has happened before. America is openly inviting the possibility of it happening again.

response: No, we have not forgotten those things. And we also haven't forgotten September 11, which clearly demonstrated that those who want to kill us would have used such attacks against us if they could. The only reason they didn't do so that day is because they didn't have such weapons at their disposal. But records captured in Afghanistan clearly showed that they were planning such attacks against us once they gained access to such weapons.

The argument that our future actions will bring down the wrath of terrorism on us misses the point that there was every reason to believe we were going to be the target of such attacks anyway. If we must die, better to die while working to eliminate the threat against us than to die as submissive sheep waiting passively for slaughter.

During the Vietnam war,I didnt protest,I bought the same lie by our Government as everyone else did as to why we were there. After loseing some friends over
there, and more of the truth has come out over the years,I kick my own ass harder then anyone could ever hurt me.

We can not let that POS loose any longer and wait for him to do something more evil than he has already been doing... of course in some peoples Disney like world... there is no evil and Saddam is just misunderstood.

The only mis-understanding here is your inability to show me, all this evil that has just surfaced and has to be delt with right now.Impatient people make big mistakes.

I guess letting him do something more horrible that 9/11 would change your mind?

You must have more valid information then the rest of the population,Please share.

On the other hand if we "nuked" them, then the soldier wouldn't be that position either.

Be very, very, careful of what you wish for,Those nukes you want to hit them with, will hurt our soldiers as well. Then
you will learn the real reason all those other 3rd world Countrys have a nuke.

Adding my smiley for you...

I hope you are right,The Russians thought so too, with their reactor.

We are dealing with a 3rd world Country,People of color, who have nothing to lose, except Saddam, and he can take his money and disappear. The belief is to die and kill all the infidals,Us and Isreal.

Main Entry: 1mar·tyr

Our first strike will signal all muslum nations to arise, friend and foe.Its not about who is right or wrong with them,it is their belief system,we have to wary of.

Unfortunately the oil could become contaminated... so that does pose a problem.

I don't think Saddam is going to become a martyr and I don't see anyone else stepping up to the plate, however his Arab brothers want him to step down, so that could ease things off a great deal.
