I say lift the sanctions the same day we start bombing Baghdad...

I went to the article in the link. I don't think it is the one you read. Your post implies Saddam asked us to remove sanctions? The article on the "Latest Developemnts" page is just about further weapons inspections proceeding.

What a joke. My feeling is that as long as saddam is in power, sanctions must continue. Anyways, who said that we have to conduct trade with a country if we don't feel the need?
