16 Brits and Americans lost their lives today in a helicopter crash.

We have been hearing about this for the past couple hours here and it's brought up huge complaint that I have with news media.

Here in San Diego they are announcing that it has been confirmed that the crew was based here but they are but sure if they are from Pendleton or Miramar. In the meantime the family members of every marine is being tortured with the question of is it their loved one.

Reminds me of when Ennis Cosby was killed in LA and there was a helicopter shot of his body laying in the road as the announcer was saying that they were did not yet know if his family had been notified. All I could think was "Then get your damn camera off his body".

Considering that this tragedy was not at the hands of the Iraqis, I think that it would have been so much more respectful to notify families before the press/public.

My sympathies to the families of those lost.
