Sweet song, I’m sure, if you like that sort of thing.
Profound truth it ain’t, just politics and religion mixed in to make a topical ‘pop song’.

In the 1st sentence he tells us he doesn’t want the war. (not accepting of)
Then in the 2nd he says the war is worth it. (accepting of)
“If we could only understand
Everything is in His hands.
All we need is a little faith and trust.”
Is he talking about God or Bush the son.
